BANG-BANG CONTROL BASED ONSLIDING MODE CONTROL THEORYFOR SDOF STRUCTURES

  • The bang-bang control methods basedon the theory of variable structural system (VSS)or sliding mode control (SMC) for SDOF seismi-cally excited structures are studied in this paper.The simulation results indicate that the proposedcontrol methods can significantly improve dynamicresponse reduction under the same constraints im-posed on the linear quadratic regulator (LQR) for-mulation.
