THE BEGINNING OF POSTDOCTORAL RESEARCH STATION IN THE INSTITUTE OF MECHANICS OF CAS

Professor Hsue-Shen Tsien attached great importance to the cultivation of senior scientific research personnel from the very beginning of the establishment of the Institute of Mechanics, Chinese Academy of Sciences (hereinafter referred to as “the Institute of Mechanics”). This paper reviews the background and the very beginning process of the postdoctoral research station in the Institute of Mechanics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and some of my postdoctoral research work.
