FINITE ELEMENT ANALYSIS OF LEFT VENTRICULAR WALL MOTION BASED ON OPEN-SOURCE CODE FINITE ELEMENT ANALYSIS OF LEFT VENTRICULAR WALL MOTION

  • In this study, we construct a personalized heart model by integrating a generic model with point cloud data of the left ventricle extracted from computed tomography (CT) images, focusing on left ventricle wall motion. Using the open-source code Differential Equations Analysis Library (Deal.II), we perform wall motion simulations and establish a fully open-source simulation pipeline. Additionally, we investigate the Neo-Hookean and Holzapfel-Gasser-Ogden (HGO) material models, analyzing the influence of simulation parameters on left ventricle deformation, volume changes, and stress distribution.
