ANALYSIS OF THE MOTION COMPOSITION FOR A MOVING POINT VIA THE ARC COORDINATE METHOD

  • This paper provides the descriptions of the arc coordinates for the absolute motion, relative motion and entraining motion of a moving point, analyzes the natural coordinate components of the corresponding velocities and accelerations, and then rigorously derives the theorem of composition of velocities and that of accelerations via the arc coordinate method, helping readers to have a deeper comprehension of the motion composition of a moving point.
