Abstract:
The intellectual legacy bequeathed by Mr. Qian offers not only direct benefits for us, but also remains ripe for exploration, refinement, and development to reveal profound academic insights. This article recalls his advocacy for structural optimization research and elaborates seven key points: first, it presents the observation that the artificial world evolved from the natural world; second, it identifies a universal principle governing both worlds, demonstrating how solutions can progress from two to three elements in global development; third, it revisits Mr. Qian's proposed integrated approach combining software, application, and structural optimization; fourth, it examines the unity of the dual-world framework through the lens of optimization principles; fifth, it explores the fundamental mysteries of the universe's origin; sixth, it compares AI thinking with traditional cognition from “black-box" and “white-box" perspectives; seventh, it introduces a novel holistic view of human cognition.
