Abstract:
This paper reviews the experience of accompanying Professor Qian Lingxi to Beijing and Wuxi in December 1975 to coordinate the drafting of the provisions of the Rules for Design and Calculation of Submarine Struction. It focuses on Professor Qian’s personal preparation of the preliminary recommendations and his in-depth involvement in discussions throughout the project. The paper further records an important historical episode in which the research group reached a consensus at the 702 Institute and finalized the plan for the first draft review meeting.
