    Abstract: This paper reviews Vibration Mechanics — Research Oriented Coursebook by Hu Haiyan. The main contents of the first 2 preliminary chapters and the following 5 monographic chapters are summarized. The main features of the book are analyzed, including the integration of teaching and research, the unity of engineering and science, and the complementation of traditions and innovations.
