Axial force diagram for general frame can be obtained from bending-moment diagram and shear force diagram,but some axial forces can not be obtained from using the shear force diagram directly when axial force was hyper-static.Through analysising the structural features,putting forward to a new method,the method combines the characteristic of which only the pillar exists axial force when axial concentrated force acts on the pillar's joint with mechanical means.Example shows the method has spontaneous and convenient to computing. Key words: hyper-static frame; axial force; computational method.

The experiment aim to analyze the mechanic properties of paper members was done with pole and belt made by lead paper, It shows that there is a elastic liner segment in the stress-strain curve and the elasticity modulus are separated from one another but mainly between 200MPa~400MPa. The property cure of the paper belt is nonlinear. The large ultimate strain is between 0.015-0.025.The state of bonding has an significant effect on Ultimate Tensile Strain of the belt. The experiment result is helpful to the optimum design of paper structures.

Based on it, the training system of applied talents is brought forward in some ways, such as strengthening practice course system, innovating content of courses, setting opening practice projects, etc. Some examples are introduced to attest the training system. Some results are drawn for craft brothers of other institutes.

Based on the Third National structural design competition for College Students, the design and the production process of the participative work submitted by Zhejiang University are described. The proposition of current structural design competition, compared with the previous, introduced the multi-disciplinary overlapping elements with the desitination of the design and production of wind power generation power. Apart from sufficient load capacity and stiffness for sturcture, and also the greatest possible wind turbine capacity is required, so model design and production is extremely difficult. unioned the theory and the practice, The Zhejiang University participating team designed and manufactured the wind power generation tower which adapts with this session of competition test condition, and made the outstanding progress. The design mentality and the model manufacture method provided in this article have certain reference value to the structural design competition.

How to determine the friction force of a rolling rigid-body often confused the students who are learning engineering mechanics. The reason that results in the friction force was analyzed, and thenthe equation to determine the static friction force was ascertained. By means of the work-energy principle, the effect of friction force was discovered. It was concluded that the total work of the static friction force of a rolling rigid-body is zero and the total work of the sliding friction force of a rolling rigid-body is negative. The role of the friction force is to realize the conversion between the rotation kinetic and the stable motion kinetic energy. The direction of the static friction force is to prevent the trend of motion due to force, and the direction of the sliding friction force is negative to the direction of sliding movement.

In order to obtain the center of gravity which not easy to be obtained by the theory or the experiment to certain complex rigid body, according to the rotation inertia parallel axis theorem, the relational expressions asking the center of gravity were deduced by the known axis rotation inertia and certain geometry relations, and theoretically two possibility centers of mass were got, which May be Selected after the actual judgment. So long as surveys the rigid body first with the instrument to three parallel axis rotation inertias, may obtain the center of gravity position by that relational expressions. Sometimes this method is simple compared to the direct survey the center of gravity.

Theory of beam is very important in engineering field. According to shear effect, it can be divided into Euler beam, Timoshenko beam and high order shear beam. Most engineering problems can be analyzed by using Euler’s or Timoshenko’s beam theories according the slenderness ratio of the engineering component is large or small. In this investigation both Euler’s and Timoshenko’s beam theories have been used to analyze the clamp-clamp uniform slender beam acted on uniform distributed applied couple. Abaqus finite element software has been used to resolve one example to validate the theoretical results. As to this load and boundary condition, analysis of slender beam must take into the shear effect account.

An object-oriented program of the finite element method was designed by utilising FORTRAN90 program language and conjugating with the AutoCAD Drawing Exchang file-DXF. Runing availabe program at present. We are implementing preprocessor and post-processing function, including mesh generation automatically, element-node informatiom,equivalent node forces,constrained condition and deformation, stress diagram etc. It overcome shortcomings of necessary of input a mass of date and treat output results date in past the FEM teaching. Meanwhile we attain aim of visibility about preprocessor and post-processing.Let students primary learn the FEM technical of Object-Oriented Programming.
