SETTLEMENT ANALYSIS OF ADJACENT BUILDINGS INDUCED BY THE WATER PRECIPITATION OF RIVER CONSTRUCTION

Based on the sedimentation calculation of foundationand the practical observation of basic sedimentation, the analyses aremade of the influence of precipitation of riverconstruction on the adjacent buildings. The result shows that the subsidence of the buildings and cracks are due to the precipitation water in the construction; thefoundation settlement of adjacent buildings decreases from near region to farregion of the construction site of precipitation; an effective way is tocombine the water curtain with the recharge well to control thedecrease of the groundwater level.
