THE CALCULATION OF AXIALLY SHIFTING RESISTANCE ACTING ON PARALLEL ROUGH CYLINDERS DURING ROLLING CONTACT

  • In this paper,using preliminary displacement principle in tribology,the axially shifting resistance acting on rough cylinders during rolling contact which axes are parallel were researched.The effects of axially shifting velocity ratio,normal contact load,dimensions of the cylinders and surface topographic parameters on axially shifting resistance were analysed,and an approximate formula for calculating it was derived.
