OPTIMIZATION OF DOUBLE-LAYER SPACE GRIDS WITH GENETIC ALGORITHM

  • The optimization mathematical model for discrete cross-sectionsis established with the constraints ofstrength, rigidity, stability, minimum cross-section and thestructural deflectionof double-layer space grids members and solutions are obtained by using the genetic algorithm. Aexample indicates that the genetic algorithm can be applied in the optimaldesign of double-layer space grids and reliable results can be obtained.
