THERMAL TREATMENT TECHNOLOGIES FOR MEDICAL AND HAZARDOUS WASTES AND ENVIRONMENTAL MECHANICS

  • This paper analyzes the classification andcharacteristics of medical waste, chemical warfare agents and hazardouswaste, and compares the fundamental requirements, classifications, andspecialties of different incinerators with equipment for pyrolysis andplasma treatment technologies. This paper also discusses the requirements ofpre-treatment technologies and off-gas treatment for thermal treatmenttechnologies to avoid the secondary pollution, and introduces the propertiesof Dioxin (PCDD/Fs) and relative technologies. This paper also introducesthe situation of medical waste and hazardous waste management, disposal andpollution control technologies in developed countries.
