RESEARCH ON DAMPING ISOLATION TO REDUCE VIBRATION AND

  • In this paper, a simple mathematical model of platform is establishedbased on the principle of vibration reduction by using damping layers. The first vibration mode'sdamping ratio is obtained by a forced decoupling to two freedom degreemode. Also the relations between damping layer parameters and the structuraldamping ratio including the relative displacement control effect of structureand damping layers are studied. And the numerical simulation under waveforce or earthquake force is carried out. The results show that usingdamping layers to reduce vibration is an effective measure. When the rigidity ofdamping layers is great, the structural vibration can be controlledeffectively.
