COUPLED NUMERICAL SIMULATION OF SUPERSONIC FLOW FIELD AND HEATED STRUCTURE OF FLYING VEHICLES

Abstract: The upwind TVD and finite volume method are employed to solve the supersonic flow field, and the finite element method or finite difference method is employed to solve the solid wall temperature distribution. The two parts work together, each one provides a boundary condition for the other, and exchanges information through the solid wall surface. This technology provides an efficient way for aerothermal problems.
