THE DRIFT STIFFNESS ANALYSIS OF THE REINFORCED CONCRETE SHEARWALL WITH VERTICAL SEAMS

Abstract: In order to reduce the structural drift stiffness and weaken the seismic response of structures under a strong earthquake, a reinforced concrete shearwall with vertical seams has been designed. Based on its behavior under the horizontal loads, the model of calculating its drift stiffness and the corresponding formulae are established. The results obtained from the model were found to agree well with the experimental results.
