BIAXIAL TENSILE WEAKENING EFFECT OF THE STONY-GRAIN CONCRETE

This paper shows from the experimental data that the concrete′s strength under the biaxial tension is lower than its uniaxial tensile strength. The weakening effect reaches 15%～30%. This is an important problem for the modern large span reinforced concrete plate and shell structure.
