RESEAECH ON FATIGUE RESIDUAL STRAIN OF HYDRAULIC CONCRETE BASED ON COMPRESSION STRENGTH EXTRAPOLATION

  • A method is proposed to obtain the compressionstrength and the peak strain of concrete by using the stress-strain curve before failure. The tests show that thismethod enjoys a good accuracy, and can be used to obtain the objectivefatigue testing stress level. The compressive fatigue tests forhydro-concrete C15 were performed by using the MTS 810 TestStar materialtest system. By analyzing the results of this fatigue test, theevolution of the fatigue residual deformation, the criterion of fatiguefailure, are obtained, together with an estimating formula for fatigue life andfatigue strength.
