ON THE LAUNCHING SPEED OF A PEDESTRIAN COLLIDED BY A CAR

  • A mechanical shaftmodel of human body is established to calculate the angular speed andtranslational speed of the body upon its first collision with a vehicle.The possible moving states of the body collapsing onto the hood at differentcrashing speeds are then discussed, which is found to agree with the actualcircumstances. These results can be used for traffic accidentinvestigations and identifications.
