STEADY THERMAL STRESSES IN CERAMIC-FGM-METAL COMPOSITE PLATE UNDER EFBF MECHANICAL BOUNDARY CONDITIONS

  • In order to study the steady thermal stresses inceramic-metal three-layered composite plate with an interlayer of FGM underEFBF mechanical boundary conditions, the analytical model for the steadythermal stresses in the composite plate was established, from heatconduction law and calculation formulas of thermal stresses. WhenT_a=500\,K and T_b=1\,800\,K, the steady thermal stress distribution ofthe composite plate was analyzed by the FEM and the Simpson method, andresults werecompared with that of nongraded two-layered plate. The paper gives the effects of thickness and composition and porosity inFGM gradient layer on thermal stresses of the composite EFBF plate, andit is shown that thethermal stress in graded three-layered plate is not significant and the maximumtensile stress reduces by 29.18\%. The results provide a reference for the design and applications of the composite plate.
