Abstract: By the plane hypothesis meanings of torsional deformation, the stress analysis of torsional deformation of a circular bar is associated with the plane hypothesis. The condition of plane hypothesis is discussed to explain the warp of the rectangle bar. And it could be a didactical supplement part for mechanics of materials
